Bombshell Sketch Challenge -- October '12

Greetings!

Here's the sketch that I created for October's sketch challenge over at Bombshell Stamps.

Here's the card that I created for the sketch challenge!

The card features the Formal Pin-Up with Fan stamp from the Lucky Bride set. She was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers, which I'll list below. Her headpiece was touched up with a Clear Copic Glitter pen and then coated with a layer of Gelly Roll Glaze pen to make it stand out. Her shoe also received the same treatment.

The patterned paper is from the Once Upon a Time 8x8 pad. I helped it match the coloring a bit by sponging some Lulu Lavender Memento ink onto it. Then Black Soot Distress ink was used to edge the layers.

The fan on the sentiment panel is also from the Lucky Bride set and was stamped with Champagne Dazzle VersaMark ink. Gold Embossing powder was added and heat set with my new heat gun!

Metallic stickers were used for the photo corner, the "Congratulations", and the border towards the bottom. Sadly, they're highly reflective and hard to see in my photo. Bummer!

Remember that if you use this sketch with a Bombshell stamp, you can be entered to win your choice of a free set of Bombshell stamps. Enter in the Casino at the forum and on Bombshell's Blog!

  3. Such a sexy bride, Kathi! I looked like that when I got married, too! Really. Well, not actually--I got married before there was dirt, and they frowned upon brides looking like this. Pity.
Anyway, she's quite the hot tamale, and I love the coloring and colors you used. Love the paper, die cut, and little fan, too! :^)
