Card for a Child

Janet Klein is the hostess at Stampotique Designers Challenge Blog and her theme is Create a Card for a Child. Here is what Janet Klein says about this challenge.
" So often we create to amuse ourselves or other adults. Children love stamping and enjoy to see what is created especially for them. For this week’s Stampotique Designers Challenge I am challenging you to create a card that will have appeal for a child, be it a young one or teen."
If you'd like the chance to win your choice of $30 worth of Stampotique stamps, you should play along with this challenge. Visit Stampotique Designers Challenge blog and be sure to read the rules so that you'll have the chance to win that great prize!!!  Remember to check to see the deadline for all of this month's Stampotique Designers Challenges!

Julep was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Neenah cardstock and Eclipse Tape (Judikins). The Eclipse Tape version was fussy-cut to be used as a mask. Using a Stampa-Ma-Jig stamp positioner (EK Success), Agatha's Parrot was stamped atop Julep's foot on the image panel and also onto Eclipse Tape to be used as a mask. The pair of Julep and Agatha's Parrot were then colored with Copic markers. Agatha's Parrot's beak and eyes were coated with several layers of Clear Gelly Glaze pen (Sakura) to add dimension and shine to them.

Both images were masked and some reserved cloud masks (created with the  Puffy Clouds (Memory Box) were added around the stamped images. Some hearts were punched from Eclipse Tape and those were added around Julep. The sky was airbrushed with a B21 Copic marker and my Copic airbrush system. When I was done, the masks were lifted, the clouds were detailed, and Julep's antennae were outlined with the Clear Stardust Glitter Gel pen (Sakura).

Wishing you love and laughter  and Happy Birthday were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then die-cut with one of the dies from the Conversation Bubbles One die set (Spellbinders) and one of the dies from the Dimensional Banners die set (Die-namics). Both sentiments were adhered to the image panel.

Pink Glitter cardstock (DCWV) was used to mat the image panel, then adhered to a 5" x 7" card.

Thanks for visiting today!

I shall enter this card into the following challenges:
