Brewin' up some Halloween fun!

Here's a card that I created for my nephew to go with his Halloween package later this month. It meets World Card Making Day Challenge #4 over at Kraftin' Kimmie's Blog.

Potionmaster by Kraftin' Kimmie was stamped Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored it with Copic markers. The lens of the safety glasses were coated with a layer of Gelly Roll Glaze pen as was his flask. One of his eyes has a touch of Lipstick Red Copic Glitter pen to give him that slightly "Mad Scientist" look. The Potionmaster was cut out using my handy-dandy Fiskar's Fingertip Craft Knife.

The chemistry patterned paper is from last year's Apothecary Emporium 6x6 pad by Echo Park. I wish that pattern was available in a variety of colors since I'm married to a chemist.

The spider web and sentiment paper are from All Hallow's Eve 6x6 pad by Carta Bella.

Black cardstock was diecut with the Creepy Web Frame by Memory Box and layered over the chemistry paper which had been cut with the Debuntante Frame. Dangling Spider's, body was popped up and two of his eight legs hold the sentiment, from Purple Onion Designs.

Here's a close-up to show the image, die cuts, and patterned paper.

Copic marker list:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, G0000 (to give him that lab-bound chemist pallor)
Hair: YR30, W1, W3, W5, W7
Eyeballs: B0000, B000
Goggles: N1, N2, N4, N6
Goggle Lenses & Flask: BG90, BG93
Lab Coat: E40, E41, E43
Jeans: B91, B93, B95, BV20
Pumpkin in Flask: YR24, YR27

Thanks for visiting today.

  3. Oh, Kathi, this is such a fun card! Love that paper; don't blame you for wishing it was in more colors! Love the Carta Bella, too--I've used it and it is a fun neutral. You got the spidey frame!!! I was going to, but just didn't. Maybe next year. But I love it and it works perfectly on this card--love the hanging spidey, too, with your sentiment! Great image and coloring--love the red eye! Hey, you have a cool card holder, too! LOL! BTW, does your hubby have that chemist pallor, too? ;^)
